Hello.

Hello. My name is Nik. I decided that I'd like to do a little bit of blogging for the next little while just to see how it turns out. I'm going to be talking about just a few of the things that happen in my daily life.

Today I had my second basketball game of the season. I play for my Junior High's basketball team and our season just started. Our game today was an away game and being only the second game, it made our whole team nervous. We wanted to win, but not badly enough. We ended up losing 73-42. It was pretty brutal.

I felt that I did great. I got a couple of swats, got five points, (They were all free-throws. I've made five of my seven attempted free throws this season.) and broke a kid's nose. That was the highlight of my day. He was crying like a baby and as if that wasn't enough, his nose basically erupted in an explosion of blood and mucus. It was pretty gross honestly. He was taken out of the game and to the hospital shortly after. It was awesome.

I wouldn't have even played in the game today had it not been for my determination, and my mad skill when it comes to procrastinating. I don't just put things off until the day before, or the day of, or half an hour before it's due, I put it off until I am sitting in class with the teacher staring down at me asking where my assignment is. I think at that point it turns into ignorance rather than procrastination.

I had a 'D' in my algebra 2 class. I cannot participate in any sporting events unless I have no deficient grades. Those are D's and F's. I managed to get my grade up to a C- by 0.87% and I was allowed to play in the game.

It's a shame we lost.

  1. Nice post. I'm not so sure I'm happy about everyone celebrating the fact that a boy got his nose broken though.

Glory of the battle, fine. But I hope he is okay and heals quickly.

  2. I agree with Mom. You played hard, and you should be proud of that. But that poor boy was in a lot of pain, and you should learn to have sympathy for people. (Even for people on the other team.)

Also, you are crazy at procrastinating. I'm not sure whether to be impressed or horrified. Maybe both.
